Best Las Vegas dog groomers for Goldendoodles
Goldendoodle grooming is its own discipline and finding a Vegas groomer who actually knows the breed takes some work. This is the honest guide. The salons and mobile services that get the cut right, the questions to ask before you book, the typical price range in Vegas, and the red flags that should make you walk.
Why doodle grooming is a different skill
Goldendoodle coats are nothing like a Lab or a Shepherd or a Husky. The poodle parent gives the coat density and curl. The retriever parent gives it length and the soft outer feel. Together you get a coat that mats fast, scissors weirdly, and changes texture over the first eighteen months of the dog's life. A groomer who does poodles and shih tzus is not automatically a doodle groomer. The cut, the tools, and the time required are all different.
The Vegas variable on top of that: dryness and dust. The coat acts drier here than in coastal climates, which means a doodle in Vegas benefits from conditioning bath products that a doodle in Seattle might not need. A groomer who knows the desert climate is a meaningful upgrade.
What to look for in a Vegas doodle groomer
- They have groomed doodles weekly for years. Not occasionally. Weekly. Ask the question directly.
- They hand scissor the face and tail. A clippered face on a doodle looks blocky and wrong. The teddy bear face is a scissor finish.
- They communicate length in numbers. Ask what blade they use on the body. Ask how many inches the leg feathering is left. If they cannot answer in numbers, they are guessing every time.
- They charge fairly for de matting time. A solid doodle groomer will quote $10 to $20 extra for moderate matting, and refuse to shave through severe matting without a conversation.
- They run a clean, unhurried shop. Look at how many dogs are kenneled and how long the appointments are. A quality doodle groom is two to three hours, not forty five minutes.
- They take photo direction. If they get defensive about a reference photo, walk.
1. Splash Dog Spa
Splash Dog Spa has been a Vegas mainstay and is one of the consistently recommended doodle groomers in the valley. They do full grooms on appointment, hand scissor the face, and have experienced staff who have done thousands of doodles. The salons run busy and book two to four weeks out.
- Best for: Full grooms with face shaping
- Typical price for medium doodle: $80 to $110
- Booking: 2 to 4 weeks out
2. Soggy Doggy
Soggy Doggy is a self serve and full service combo that has been around in the valley for years. The full service side handles doodles regularly and the price is reasonable. The self serve side is also a great between cycle option for a doodle owner who wants to bathe their dog without flooding the bathroom.
- Best for: Reasonable price, self serve option for between visits
- Typical price: $65 to $95 for medium doodle
3. Rover Pet Salon
Rover Pet Salon is a small salon style operation that has built a following with doodle owners specifically. Smaller crew, longer appointments, hand scissoring is the standard. Weekend slots fill fast.
4. Pampered Pets
Pampered Pets is a multi location grooming operation in the valley. Some locations are more doodle savvy than others, so ask which groomer you are booking with by name. Once you find a doodle confident groomer at one location, request them every time.
5. Camp Bow Wow Las Vegas (grooming)
Camp Bow Wow is primarily a daycare and boarding facility, but their grooming add on is convenient if your doodle is already spending the day with them. The cut quality varies by location and groomer. Best for a freshen up rather than a full coat overhaul.
6. Aussie Pet Mobile (mobile groomer)
Aussie Pet Mobile is a national franchise with strong Vegas coverage. They bring a fully equipped grooming van to your house, which is a real advantage for nervous doodles or owners who do not want to add a kennel wait to the appointment. The vans have AC, which matters in summer.
- Best for: Anxiety prone doodles, summer convenience
- Typical price for medium doodle: $100 to $145
- Coverage: Most of the valley
7. Independent mobile groomers
The independent mobile groomer market in Vegas is thriving. Search local Facebook groups for Summerlin, Henderson, Aliante, and Mountain's Edge. The independents tend to be cheaper than Aussie Pet Mobile and more flexible on scheduling, but quality varies widely. Always ask for recent doodle photos.

The cuts to ask for
Most Goldendoodle owners in Vegas want one of three cuts. Knowing the names and what they actually mean is half the battle. We covered the full visual guide in our Goldendoodle haircut styles guide.
- Teddy bear cut: body around 1 to 1.5 inches, face hand scissored round, ears blended in. The default doodle cut.
- Kennel cut: shorter all over, around 0.5 inch on the body, easier to maintain in summer.
- Lamb or summer shave: body very short, legs slightly longer for shape. The Vegas summer default.
Between cycle home routine
Whoever your groomer is, a Vegas Goldendoodle still needs a home routine to keep the coat livable. Here is what we do:
- Brush three to four times a week with a slicker brush, then a metal comb to check for mats at the elbow, behind the ears, and on the tail base.
- Bath every three to four weeks with a hydrating doodle shampoo. We covered the picks in the best shampoos guide.
- Coat conditioning spray during the dry winter months when static gets out of hand.
- Ear cleaning weekly. Vegas dust is no joke.
- Nail dremel every two weeks if you can, every month minimum.
Quick FAQ
How long does a Goldendoodle groom take? Two to three hours for a full hand scissor groom on a medium doodle. Salons that promise sixty minutes are clipper only and the cut will look it.
Should I tip my Vegas groomer? Yes. 15 to 20 percent is standard. A great doodle groomer is hard to find and you want them to remember you next time.
Can I groom my Goldendoodle myself? The bath and brushing routine, absolutely. The full scissor cut, almost certainly not on the first try. Self groom is a great way to stretch the time between professional appointments.
Where does Mango actually go? Two NW Vegas salons in rotation plus an Aussie Pet Mobile session for between cycles in summer. The full Vegas hometown rotation is on the Goldendoodle Las Vegas hub.
