How the calculator works
The calculator uses three real growth formulas combined with parent weight averaging:
- 16-week doubling rule: A puppy at 16 weeks is roughly half the adult weight.
- 6-month 1.5x rule: A puppy at 6 months is about two thirds of adult weight.
- Parent average: Goldendoodles tend to land between or above the parent average, so this signal is weighted in.
The estimate is most accurate from 12 weeks onward and tightens significantly once both parents' weights are entered. Goldendoodle genetics surprise sometimes, so use the range, not just the midpoint.
